Team RPM unveils Carrera Cup squad

March 15, 2005

(London, England) - Team RPM unveiled its three-car squad for the Carrera Cup GB during the pre-season test and media day at Snetterton yesterday (Tuesday 15 March). Tim Harvey will again lead the team and will be joined by Emmanuel Crouvisier and Steve Clark for the season.

"We're very happy with our line-up for 2005," says team boss Robin Mortimer. Not only will Harvey chase the overall drivers' championship title, but the team will also challenge for the teams' championship having finished runner-up in 2004.

"I'm very much looking forward to the season," says Harvey. "This year we've got a good budget and a new car; everyone is supporting us very well. It's definitely my turn to win the championship; Richard (Westbrook) knows it's my turn this year!"

Clark returns to the Carrera Cup for a full season having joined the series for the final two races of 2004, while Paris-based American Crouvisier makes his Porsche debut. "Last year, I had to learn every track in Britain," he says. "That will now help me get up to speed a lot quicker this year. I'm looking forward to working with Tim."

Prior to racing in Formula Palmer Audi and the SEAT Cupra Championship, Crouvisier raced in France and also competed in single-seaters and sportscars in his native North America. Initially he will commute from Paris for the races, but is planning to move to England in the early summer.
