First Test, Selection Process Begun

October 17, 2001

(Le Mans, France) - Emmanuel J.M. Crouvisier is leaving the United States to participate in the ultra-competitive racing environment in Europe. Such a move is not uncommon among the most successful racecar drivers of our time, including Juan Pablo Montoya and many other young stars.

One of the top series in Europe is undoubtedly the La Filière Formule Campus championship. Now under the control of the FFSA, the series is the prime picking spot for future Formula 1 drivers.

While many drivers are invited to test for acceptance in the championship, only 25 are ultimately selected.

After a full day of testing at the Maison Blanche track in Le Mans, France, Crouvisier is very optimistic about the 2002 season, "everything went very smoothly today. I was able to learn the track within a few laps, and improved consistently throughout the day. The instructors' input was very helpful. Other than a bit of rain in the afternoon, it was a great day."

With the initial testing now completed, and Crouvisier undoubtedly being one of the fastest drivers of the day (although no official times were given), the acceptance letter for the 2002 La Filière Formule Campus invitation is eagerly anticipated.
